CEO Kristin Vibeke Hurum of Cermaq Norway is participating in the debate in the main program on September 22 on “Land use – the mother of all problems.” -We believe that good solutions are developed when we are challenged and engage in dialogue with key stakeholders, says Kristin Hurum. -That is why we look forward to discussing the regulatory framework for the industry and contributing with our experience in areas such as technology, fish health, and land-based animal husbandry.

On Wednesday morning, we meet Harald Takle, who will be challenged on the question: Is the industry only focused on the lowest possible cost—or is strategic partnership also the way forward? This comes after the chair of Norsk Industri, Ståle Kyllingstad, has shared his experiences from the oil industry.

Later in the day, Head of Fish Health Karl Fredrik Ottem will take part in a discussion with the Norwegian Food Safety Authority (Mattilsynet) about what their roadmap will look like going forward.

In the professional seminar on land-based aquaculture, Head of Hatchery Marit Holmvaag Mehus will help set the agenda for where the industry currently stands in relation to land-based production.
